Affinitiv Intranet
In early 2017, after the creation of Affinitiv from the merging of four automotive marketing companies, a team was created to build a new company intranet. I was tapped as a designer for this project and offered these designs.
This is the design for the landing page. It features a dashboard along with company events and news. There would also be a slideshow where photos could be uploaded from various company events. One of the challenges designing this page was getting all that information to fit on one page without overwhelming the user. I overcame this issue by separating all the different bits of information into different columns.
One of the goals for the intranet was to serve as a resource for the field sales team. Since it was early in the merger, a lot of aspects of the company were shifting. Easy access to a consolidated list of all the Affinitiv products and services would be a great help to the sales team. Based on the needs of the sales team, I wanted to make it easy to find information as fast as possible for them. Having the large rows with the big buttons accomplished that goal.
For the employee directory, I again wanted to make the information as easy to find as possible. There is a search feature along with an alphabetical sorting feature. Since there are multiple Affinitiv offices as well as field salespeople all over the country, I included location so that time zone differences could easily be calculated when contacting other Affinitiv employees.
